Random IMEI terms of service
Last updated: August 5, 2026
These terms govern use of the Random IMEI website, maintained by the Random IMEI Editorial Team. By using the site, you agree to use its output only for lawful testing, education and documentation.
1. Permitted use
You may use generated values as synthetic fixtures in isolated development, QA, staging, demonstration and educational environments. Do not use them to activate devices, register on live carrier networks, submit warranty or insurance claims, represent ownership, evade blocklists or security controls, impersonate a device, or commit fraud.
Laws concerning device identifiers vary by jurisdiction. You are responsible for checking the rules that apply to your use case and for keeping generated data out of live identity and telecommunications systems.
2. What the service provides
The web generator returns between 1 and 50 rows per batch and currently offers clipboard and CSV export. It does not expose a public API. The validator checks format and Luhn structure in the browser, extracts the TAC field, and does not compare it with a device catalog.
The snapshot is manually curated test data, not the official or complete GSMA Device Database. It is not live, not updated on a guaranteed schedule and not suitable for identifying production devices. See the methodology and changelog.
3. No device-status guarantee
A correct Luhn check digit proves only mathematical structure. It does not prove that an IMEI is issued, unissued, unique worldwide, registered, clean, unblocked, owned by a particular person, accepted by a carrier, or associated with the displayed model. Because the tool combines known-style prefixes with random serials, a generated value can theoretically coincide with an assigned identifier.
4. Intellectual property and third-party names
Original site code, design and editorial text are protected by their applicable rights. GSMA, manufacturer names, model names and other trademarks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance describes compatibility or subject matter and does not imply affiliation or endorsement.
5. Availability and liability
The service is provided “as is” and may change, contain errors or become unavailable. To the extent permitted by law, the maintainers are not liable for losses arising from reliance on generated identifiers, TAC mappings, third-party acceptance or misuse of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
6. Abuse and automated access
Do not interfere with the site, bypass security controls, scrape it at a rate that degrades service, or use automation to facilitate prohibited activity. Access may be limited when needed to protect users and infrastructure.
7. Contact and changes
Questions can be sent to support@randomimei.com. Material changes will update the revision date shown at the top of this page.
