About Random IMEI
Random IMEI is an independent test-data utility. It combines a dated local TAC snapshot, random six-digit serials and Luhn check digits to create repeatable fixture shapes without claiming to issue or authenticate device identities.
The site publishes the date, size and limitations of its internal legacy TAC snapshot. Its original provenance and reuse license are not established, and mappings never replace authoritative GSMA or carrier data.

Transparency, bounded claims and responsible testing. We document the current snapshot, distinguish checksum validity from real-device status, and correct supported mappings when reliable evidence is available.
A valid checksum proves structure, not device identity. Useful synthetic data starts with that distinction.
Catalog transparency
Snapshot 2025-11-02 contains 60 test profiles and 128 distinct prefixes. It is a limited, non-authoritative reference rather than a live device registry.
