Find the IMEI on the real device
Record the full model code and each identifier exactly as Settings → About phone labels them. If the cover-screen view is inconvenient, use the full Settings screen. Folding the device or switching displays does not create another asset in your inventory.

- Import the asset above with folded false and then update the same asset_id with folded true. Keep both screen components attached to that asset.
- Compare asset and identifier counts before and after the update; retry with a duplicate identifier to ensure display records do not hide the conflict.
Expected result in your importer
There is still one phone after the state change. Two displays create no additional IMEI fields, and the SKU’s eSIM does not become a second physical SIM position.
